Itinerary

DAY 1KOTA KINABALU TO MALIAU BASIN STUDY CENTRE

Depart on a 7 hours overland Journey from Kota Kinabalu to Maliau Basin Shell building. Upon arrival, guest will be served with refreshing welcoming drinks while briefed on the Do’s and Dont’s guidelines while being at Maliau Basin Conservation area. Free and easy where you can stroll around the information gallery and souvenir shop. You can also have some light snack at the Maliau cafe. Proceed to Maliau Basin Study centre for another 1 hour journey. Once arrive, register, check-in and meet your inhouse guide to lead you the the 3D model of Maliau Basin for a short introduction. Check in to your room. Free and easy, you may take this opportunity to visit the Maliau Gallery.

Get your dinner at Maliau Al’Fresco dining hall, then after dinner proceed to Maliau Basin Mini Theatre for a short video show of introduction to MBCA.

2300hrs Light’s off and have a good rest!

DAY 2MALIAU BASIN OVERNIGHT

Wakeup early for Bird watching activity around the vicinity then went to the Dalit dining hall for Breakfast. After breakfast, proceed to the 138.4 meter long of Maliau sky Bridge Canopy walk then continue trekking on a wildlife trail to spot some flora and fauna.

Get back to studies center. Lunch at 1200hrs then Free and Easy. Around 1400hrs, Depart to Agathis Camp for another jungle trekking where you can observe the difference of forest transition, then spend some time to enjoy a refreshing dip at the Agathis waterfall

After changing, hop onto the car and head towards the observation tower to enjoy a panoramic view of the Maliau Rim and Mount Kuli of Imbak Canyon from afar.

Get back to Studies center and get your dinner. After dinner, if the weather permits go for a Night Drive safari for one hour and 30 minutes. If the weather does not permit, alternative activity will be the Dawn drive activity which will start at 0500hrs in the next morning.

2300hrs Light’s off and have a good Night!

DAY 3MALIAU BASIN STUDY CENTRE TO KOTA KINABALU

Wake up and Get your breakfast around 0730hrs at the Dalit cafe. The rest of your morning will be free at leisure until your Check-out time at 1100hrs.

During this time you have the option of doing the Tree planting activity at additional cost. or you can simply walk around the vicinity to do some bird watching activity.

Check out and have a safe journey back to Kota Kinabalu.
