Your tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Lahad Datu town or Lahad Datu Airport, after which you will be transferred to the Danum Valley Office. Upon arrival, kindly proceed to register and ensure you have your booking receipt and identification ready for confirmation.

After completing the registration process, please take a seat and await the departure time. The journey to DVFC will be an approximately 2.5-hour drive on a bumpy and uneven gravel road. As you travel, relish the scenic views of the lush green rainforest, and keep a lookout as wildlife occasionally emerges along the roadside.

Once you arrive at DVFC, our tour guide will warmly welcome you and provide you with tour briefing and key to your room. Take a brief moment to unwind before dinner.

Following dinner, your evening’s activity will be a night walk around the vicinity, offering the opportunity to spot nocturnal wildlife in their natural habitat.

Rest and Have a Good Night!

Wake up early to begin your day with a tranquil morning walk around the vicinity, where you’ll be surrounded by the sounds of diverse wildlife, including the enchanting calls of the Bornean Gibbon.

Then walk back to the dining hall for your breakfast.

Following breakfast, your adventure continues with a trekking activity alongside your knowledgeable tour guide. Prior to setting out, please pay close attention to your guide’s safety briefing to ensure a secure and fun journey. You’ll delve into the heart of the rainforest, where you’ll have the chance to spot some wildlife and immerse yourself in the enchanting ambiance of this ancient ecosystem.

Upon your return to your accommodation, take a moment to relax and recharge after your invigorating forest trek.

In the afternoon, at 3:00 p.m., join your guide for another trekking activity along one of the available trails, providing you with further opportunities to explore and discover the wonders of the rainforest.

As evening approaches, return to your accommodation toget ready and enjoy your dinner at the dining hall.

Following dinner, your evening continues with a thrilling night drive safari activity at 8:00 p.m. This approximately one-hour excursion takes you on a truck, with a wildlife spotter equipped with powerful torches to search for nocturnal wildlife. It’s an exciting and educational adventure that allows you to witness the rainforest in a whole new light.

For those seeking a more exclusive experience, a private night drive safari is available for an additional charge.

Begin your day with a peaceful morning walk around the vicinity, where you can often spot various birds and monkeys leisurely roaming about. Following your walk, head over to the dining hall for breakfast around 7 a.m.

Once breakfast is concluded, prepare for check-out, and you’ll be transferred from the center at 8:30 a.m.

The estimated time of arrival in Lahad Datu Town is 11 a.m.

Morning Sunrise at GAW Tower – Your journey begins at 5:30 a.m., where you’ll embark on a morning drive to the GAW Tower.
