Meet at your hotel lobby or Sandakan Airport for pickup. You’ll be transferred to Sabah Park Jetty in Sandakan for a 1-hour boat ride to Selingan Turtle Island, located 40 kilometers north of Sandakan. This island offers a unique opportunity to witness the main nesting areas of Green and Hawksbill Turtles.
Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious lunch before checking into your basic yet clean accommodation. Spend the rest of the day relaxing on the beach or snorkeling in nearby reefs. Dinner will also be served on the island.
In the evening, a Park Ranger will guide you on the best time to witness turtles laying their eggs on the beach. You’ll have the chance to see the collection of eggs from the nesting site and their safe transfer to a hatchery.
